ESSENTAIL QUALIFICATIONS: Senior First Aid Certificate. HR Drivers Licence. Relevant Medicals. Minimum Certificate III in Drilling. * Conduct Air Drilling. * Conduct Diamond Drilling. * Conduct Rotary Mud Drilling. Relevant Generic inductions. S1,S2,S3, (QMS123). DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/ATTRIBUTES: Certificate IV in Drilling. HC Drivers Licence. Area - OHSEC Description Safety:- • Achieve Company safety targets and provide a visible commitment to safety (Lead by Example). • Ensure that a safe working environment is provided for all Drill crew. • Ensure that new employees are made familiar with safety rules and requirements set down in Tom Browne Drilling Services site induction manuals and site safety management plans. • Be actively involved in risk assessments as required. • Attend and be actively involved in Tool Box Meetings at regular intervals. Environmental:- • Ensure all TBDS Environmental policies are followed. • Report any environmental incidents to the Supervisor immediately. • Upon completion of drilling projects, monitor the restoration of drill sites to acceptable environmental conditions. • Conduct inspections of equipment, premises and drill sites to ensure all are in environmentally sound condition. Operational Reporting:- • Complete SLAM & HAZOBS reports. • Ensure that all employees are familiar with the HSEC system and relevant SWP’s for their role. • Participate in TBDS drill rig inspections with Supervisor. • Report all accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses to the Supervisor and the OHSEC Coordinator immediately. • Run daily Pre Start meeting with crew. Area - Human Resources Description Employee Management:- • Provide guidance and leadership to drill crews. • Provide site orientation and drill rig inductions to all employees. • Provide recommendations to Supervisor on individual and team development needs. Employee Training:- • Carry out continual on the job training with Drill Crew. • Provide Leadership and coaching to drill crews. Area - Operations Operational • Complete Daily Drilling Reports and ensure report is detailed and legible and provide to Supervisor. • Carry out basic preventative maintenance and fill in maintenance forms and supply to Supervisor. • Carry out drilling activities to ensure delivery within specified scope and time. • Diagnose down hole problems and take remedial action where required and seek assistance from Supervisor for issues outside of your capability level. • Monitor supplies of parts and consumables on site at rig and provide field requests for additional supplies to Supervisor. • Carry out activities in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, codes and standards. • Report to Supervisor any issues arising from and impacting on the project. • Report on project progress to Supervisor. • Build and sustain positive working relationships with project stakeholders. • Promote the use and implementation of innovative work practices and continuous improvement. • Have sound knowledge of all types of drilling. _____________________________________________________ Applicants from non-native English speaking countries. Will need either: a) 5 years of continuous schooling. e.g. if your high school is only 4 years, then you will need an additional 12 months of college or vocational courses immediately after you high school graduation. OR b) An I.E.L.T.S. exam score of 5 or higher in each section.
