Control or maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps,
fans, compressors, condensers, feedwater heaters, filters,
or chlorinators, to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air,
or auxiliary power.
Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to
detect evidence of operating problems.
Take regulatory action, based on readings from charts,
meters and gauges, at established intervals.
Open and close valves and switches in sequence to
start or shut down auxiliary units.
Record and compile operational data by completing
and maintaining forms, logs, or reports.

Candidate should have minimum 5-8 years work experience in
Generator Operator. Must have experience in Generator Operations
and Preventive maintenance. Operate Generator sets
and supply power to the Plant. Safety instructions
and correct procedures in operating Generator sets in
maximum efficiency. Perform all required maintenance works
including emergency repairs, assembly and overhauling
activities in accordance with the specifications subject to
the supervisor’s approval. Implement correct operating procedures.
Check, monitor and record all activities, temperature and
pressures gauges readings as per log sheets. Ensure all safety equipments
are working in good condition and follow safety Standard
Operating Procedures. Ensure that all generator sets are in
good running condition. Keep Generator Room clean to avoid any hazards.
Implement required maintenance activities in accordance with
preventive maintenance checklists. Check spare parts of
machineries and equipments and withdraw necessary parts from
Plant Stores. Check level of Diesel used in operation.
Must be able to read drawings/technical manual Must know
how to read and write in English language. Must know
how to speak in English language. Should be able to manage
and work under pressure. Personal performance and technical expertise.
